by Kyse Perfumes
Frangipane al Pistacchio Kyse opens with a lush, creamy pistachio that feels like fresh almond and pistachio paste blended with vanilla and heliotrope. The initial impression is a highly realistic, sweet, nutty gourmand scent reminiscent of pistachio ice cream or almond croissant, with a delicate trace of cherry-like brightness from the benzaldehyde in the heliotrope. It unfolds beautifully in the first few minutes, making it a standout for lovers of dessert-like fragrances. However, the perfume undergoes a noticeable transformation after 20 to 45 minutes; a metallic, dusty, or even slightly bitter aroma emerges, often described as resembling crushed copper pennies or an antique book’s dry page. This dry-down, while not offensive to all, is divisive and persists through most of the wear, especially on skin. Longevity is moderate, and sillage is quite intimate, not projecting beyond a personal space. The scent is best experienced as a skin scent, delicate and intimate, ideal for evening wear or cool-weather days, although it lacks long-lasting projection and the final aspect may be unappealing to those sensitive to metallic or bitter nuances.
