by Le Galion
Sortilège by Le Galion is a deeply nostalgic and opulent vintage-style aldehyde floral, evoking the elegance of 1930s Parisian glamour. The opening unfolds with a soft, slightly burnished aldehydic bloom that settles into a lush, honeyed floral heart—dominated by jasmine, ylang-ylang, iris, and lily-of-the-valley—giving it a creamy, velvety warmth. As it dries down, it reveals a smooth, powdery-musky base laced with vetiver, sandalwood, amber, and labdanum, offering both depth and sophistication. The overall impression is richly feminine but carries an undeniable strength and presence, making it feel more like a timeless modern chypre than a traditional floral. The projection is moderate to strong, lasting over eight hours, and the scent feels intimate yet noticeable in cooler weather, especially during evening wear. Though the current EDP formulation lacks the intensity and aldehyde punch of vintage versions, it preserves the core character with refined restraint.
