Bois d'Enfant presents a fresh and effervescent opening with spicy pink pepper, zesty bergamot, and a hint of jammy blackberry, creating a vibrant yet restrained fruity-aromatic accord. The heart reveals a delicate interplay of green woody notes, light incense, and floral iris, evoking a faint suggestion of pine and fir without becoming overtly forest-like. As it dries down, a creamy vanillic musk emerges, lending warmth and softness, particularly noticeable in the drydown. The fragrance leans more toward a sweet, powdery, and slightly aromatic character than a true woody scent, making it more unisex in character than its name suggests. While the composition has a fresh and elegantly balanced structure, performance is notably weak — sillage remains moderate at best, and fragrance longevity is short, often fading within a few hours. Some appreciate its subtly unusual blend, but others find it underwhelming, especially after the initial burst fades.
