Jaspe by Teo Cabanel is a fresh, aromatic fougere with a pronounced lavender and vetiver core, supported by green spicy midnotes and a dry, woody base of sandalwood, leather, and papyrus. The opening is crisp and slightly synthetic, with bergamot and lavender dominating, quickly giving way to a masculine, barbershop-like character. The scent evokes vintage colognes from the 70s or 80s—strong, clean, and reminiscent of locker rooms, leather, and herbal notes. While it’s praised as a pleasant, modern take on the classic fougere, many find it thin, watery, and lacking warmth. The sillage is moderate to strong, especially at night, but longevity is weak, fading noticeably after a few hours. It's best suited for summer days, where its fresh, clean quality is welcome without overwhelming. Its performance isn't strong, nor is its originality, but some appreciate its refined, classical elegance. However, it is widely considered divisive—some find it elegant, others chemical, artificial, or unpleasantly harsh, especially on sensitive skin or in warmer weather.
