Jardin de Borneo Gardenia is a deeply floral and opulent attar centered on a luminous, natural gardenia that unfolds with a radiant, slightly sweet intensity. It opens with a bright, sun-drenched floral burst—jasmine sambac and gardenia—accents of lavender and sandalwood add a refined aromatic lift. The heart is both lush and complex, with rich tuberose notes contributing a creamy, bubblegum-like sweetness that tempers the florals. As it dries down, the perfume develops a warm, animalic depth driven by ambergris and civet, layered over agarwood and smoky, earthy base notes like oud and galbanum. The composition feels alive and tactile—like walking through a humid jungle where flowers bloom under a canopy of sunlit greenery. The emotional impact is strong and memorable, transforming from airy floral to a deeply textured, gourmand-tinged base with subtle leathery and spicy undertones. The longevity is moderate to long, with a sillage that stays intimate to moderately moderate. It’s one of the most authentic and luxurious gardenia portrayals in perfumery, felt more like an experience than a scent.
