by Abdul Karim Al Faransi
Oud Cuiré by Abdul Karim Al Faransi is a concentrated, thick attar that channels a rich, animalic oud leather with a syrupy, dark sweetness. It opens with deep notes of Cambodian oud, leather, plum, almond, and floral hints—creating a warm, woody, and slightly fruity aura. As it dries, the oud gains a hide-like quality, softened by sweet almond and plum, forming a quiet, enveloping leather that is more refined than aggressive. The scent evokes aged wood, peaty whisky, and natural leather, with a calm, immersive depth suitable for evening wear. Despite its low sillage and moderate projection, its longevity is excellent, lasting for hours, making it ideal as a calming, nighttime scent. Some perceive the animalic and leathery facets as intense or overpowering, while others find it deeply satisfying and natural. It’s particularly well-suited for layering with lighter or musky scents, where it adds depth and dimension.
