Cimabue is a warm, complex gourmand with an opulent spiced heart that unfolds like a rich, honeyed cake on skin. The top notes open with a delicate citrus brightness—Amalfi lemon and bergamot—tempered by cardamom and nutmeg, creating a fresh yet warm entry. The heart centers on saffron and cinnamon, woven into a soft, creamy floral blend of jasmine, rose, and tuberose, all smoothed over by vanilla and beeswax. In the dry down, the perfume settles into a smooth, powdery amber with sandalwood and benzoin, offering a honeyed, slightly animalic depth that feels both comforting and elegant. It’s especially suited to autumn and winter, though some find it overly sweet. The natural ingredients lend authenticity, but longevity is moderate, rarely exceeding five hours, which limits full bottle appeal for some.
